More on Choice and Responsibility

I recently met up with a client I haven't seen for a while, and they started talking about the same issue they sought me out for all those months ago. And I have to thank them for helping me to gain further insight into the importance of choices, of timing, of willingness and of courage.
We may know absolutely that some of our choices do not serve us, however until we are really ready to do something about it, we continue along the same path. We may complain, we may bend our friends' ears about how awful everything is, and we can certainly feel paralysed to do anything different. In other words, we become victims to our choices and their consequences...until we are ready and willing to choose differently, and to start taking responsibility for ourselves, our actions and our lives.
So if you know someone who's going through this process right now, you could point out where they've gone wrong (and confirm them in their victim state), you could give them advice - you know, all those wise and clever things you'd do if you were them (which you're not!) (oh, and by the way, none of us follow advice unless it's what we were going to do anyway) - or you can stand with them and tell them that you absolutely trust that they will know the right thing to do. And until they do, you send them Love. Which of these options would most encourage you to make a change ?
